Technology | Architecture + Design (TAD) is a peer-reviewed international journal dedicated to the advancement of scholarship in the field of building technology, with a focus on the impact, translation and integration of technology in architecture and design. TAD solicits, captures, and shares new knowledge in how we think, make and use technology within the building arts. Published articles feature primary research in emerging materials, construction techniques, design integration, structures, building systems, energy, environmental design, information technology, digital fabrication, sustainability and resiliency, project delivery, the history and theory of technology, and building technology education. Aimed at researchers, educators, and practitioners, the journal advances and transforms the current discourse on building and environmental technologies with the goal of expanding, reimagining and challenging its role for architecture and design. TAD is published by the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) through Taylor and Francis. The types of articles the journal publishes include: themed and open peer-reviewed papers and solicited articles which may take the form of Op/Position essays, Research Methodology papers, and reviews which include, but are not limited to, books, buildings, exhibits, symposia, software, and emerging technologies. TAD publishes on a biannual schedule (November and April). Faculty members at ACSA full-member and candidate-member programs, affiliate members, and supporting members, receive print copies of the journal as part of their membership and is available online through a live link from the ACSA home page. Subscribers may access issues directly. Libraries, individuals, and organizations interested in subscribing may do so through Taylor and Francis.
