Indigenous Knowledge, Innovation, and Climate Change

Sensors measure indoor and outdoor conditions to manage the building’s skin and achieve thermal, visual, and acoustic comfort, working with minimum use of mechanical systems.”

Pablo La Roche is a Principal and Global Sustainable Design Director at ARCADIS and a Professor of Architecture at Cal Poly Pomona, where he recently served as Interim Director of the Lyle Center for Regenerative Studies. He has published extensively on low-carbon, passive design and is the author of Carbon-Neutral Architectural Design (CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group, 2024), now in its third edition.
