BIM: Enhancing Workflows with Add-Ins

The number of software programs available for use by designers, engineers, and contractors in the building industry has grown over time. Many firms are developing workflow processes to help them work smarter and more effectively with these tools. However, despite the wealth of large commercial software suites, there is often still a feature or functions missing. Architecture and engineering offices develop intricate workflows to overcome software limitations or create in-house databases such as Thornton Tomasetti’s TTX to improve interoperability between programs.
