Along with Michele and Roberto Colaninno and the Piaggio Group, Jeffrey Schnapp and I co-founded the company to rethink lightweight mobility for the contemporary city; this was the challenge we started with. The contemporary city is not just San Francisco or Boston but Hanoi and Mumbai, cities where the density of movement would never allow for an automotive solution. We started without engineers, only with researchers, urbanists, designers and transportation experts.
