Issue 6.2

Architecting

Since its inaugural issue in 2017, Technology | Architecture + Design (TAD) has pursued its editorial mission to “advance the architecture discourse and increase potential synergies between research and practice” through a remarkable period of seemingly significant moments in world history.1 Members of the TAD readership have recently experienced or confronted a range of demonstrated problems including a global health pandemic, a social reckoning, a political atrocity, natural hazard events such as wildfires and floods, and a surprising tack by the US Supreme Court. These problems far exceed the effective extents of architecture. However, there is no better time for the discipline of architecture to remain problem oriented.
