In Review: Assessing Mass Timber and the Circular Economy 

A growing interest in mass timber as a low-carbon substitute for other structural materials warrants an exploration of its current and future end-of-use potential. An anisotropic-grown material, mass timber poses unique challenges and opportunities for reuse, remanufacture, and recycling. ‘Circularity’ Issue Editor Matan Mayer discussed those topics with Pete Kobelt, Director of Mass Timber Solutions at Structure Tone Building Group.
